Porches

Porches are a terrific way to add shaded outdoor living space to your log home! All of our porch packages are custom designed to fit your home. Rustic round posts are available for support as well as round or timber roof rafters. For the decking, choose from pressure treated to cedar or pick a no-maintenance composite. Screened porches are also available.

Before Porch Although this home had an existing wrap-around deck, a covered porch area would provide shade and shelter. We removed three rows of decking to install footings to support the weight of the porch roof, but were otherwise able to preserve the existing deck.	After Porch We built the porch frame using 6 x 6 posts to make it easier to screen. The roof rafters are round logs to match those used inside the house. As you can see, one of the windows is replaced by a door for access from the living room.
